Phew! I've finally finished my papers and now it's time to study for exams. Boy, I sure cannot wait for the holidays, as I'm sure that goes for all of us! :) So, have you heard?! Celebrate the Occasion is having a design team call! I've had a BLAST designing projects for the wonderful ladies, and who doesn't need cards for all the occasions out there?! ;) I highly recommend you to give it a shot! :) So speakinng of Celebrate the Occasion, our challenge this week is to create a Christmas themed project with no green. Easy peasy right?! Here's what I created for this week:
Aren't these little penguins just the cutuest?! I don't know if you can tell, but I used Peachy Keen's Ice Crystal Glitter Paint to make my penguins "magical." Does the Pink By Design sentiment work perfectly? ;) Here's a close up of the adorable penguins!
It's really difficult to notice the glitter in the picture, but I assure you, it's definitely sparkly up close!
Trail of Treasures:
- Card Base - 5.5 x 4.25" cut in kraft cardstock, and rounded with my Creative Memories Corner Rounder
- Card Layer - 5.25 x 4" rounded, used DCWV Christmas Stack for the patterned paper, and cut a piece of 5.25 x 2" white cardstock and cut out a hill and rounded the corners for the snow
- Penguins - used the Peachy Keen CottageCutz Penguin Doll Die, painted with Peachy Keen's Ice Crystal Glitter Paint and added twine for the scarf
- Sentiment - Pink By Design's Christmas Wishes set
I'll be back to updating my blog more often soon, I promise!! Make sure to head on over to Celebrate the Occasion to celebrate with us, and to find out how you can enter to be on the design team! Good luck everyone!
Until next time's treasures,
