Let's Party till the Cows Come Home!

Hi everyone!

Two posts in one night - woot! That's a new record for me! I told you I had lots of crafy endeavors in the near future! Haha. Well, here in Canada we have a long weekend since Thanksgiving is this coming Monday, so be on the lookout for a thanksgiving project on Monday! Here's a card that I created for my friend's birthday - she loves cows, and we just celebrated with her last night. We definitely partied till the cows came home! Haha ;)

I will be entering this card into Jovan's Birthday link-up. She's working on a new scrap room so make sure to head on over to see it, and maybe you'll pick up a few organizing tips!

Isn't she a cutie?! Here's a look at the inside of the card:

Trail of Treasures:
  • Card Base - standard A2 sized card 5.5 x 4.25" base
  • Card Layer - cut from DCWV Spring Stack and used my Creative Memories Corner Rounder
  • Grass - cut out of green cardstock, and used scissors to make cut slits to create the grass, then wrapped Twisted Lime Trendy Twine and tied a bow
  • Cow - cut from Create-A-Critter cartridge, used mini-brads for the eyes, stitched with white gelly roll pen, and added ribbon bows to the ears
  • Party Hat, Party, and Present - cut from Cuttlebug Birthday Die, added Diamon stickles to the party hat
  • Sentiment - My Pink Stamper's Punnylicious stamp set

 Make sure to tune back on Monday!

A Tardy Bday Wish

Hi everyone!

I hope that everyone is off to a great start to their week! We're half way until the weekend! I've got tons of ideas for cards that I want to create, but I'm limited on time as I do have a group submission and a mid-term exam next week :( Hopefully I'll be able to sneak away from the pile of work I've got to do, to craft...even just for a little while! ;)

Remember, you still have time to enter into the current giveaway here.You have until this Friday at 12PM PST to enter.

Here's a witty little birthday card I created for Sarah over at PinkCricut.com's sew-easy link up party and button birthday card challenge over at Birthday Sundaes.

And for the inside sentiment, I used My Pink Stamper's More Punnylicious Stamp Set.

Trail of Treasures:
  • Card Base - standard A2 sized card, 4.25 x 5.5"
  • Layers - used DCWV Spring Stack for the patterned paper and used the Stampin' Up Scallop Border Punch, used my We-R Memory Keepers Sew-Easy for the border of the yellow layer
  • Frog - cut from Sweethearts Cartridge, stitched, and added a button with a stitched cross for the eyes
  • Lily-Pad and Balloons - cut from Create-a-Critter Cartridge
  • Sentiments - 'a tardy birthday wish' made using the PBD Small Banners set; inside sentiment from My Pink Stamper's More Punnylicious Stamp Set.

That's all I have for you guys today! Gotta run to class now!

Until next time's treasures,

Caterpillar Love - My Pink Stamper Design Team Call Challenge

Hello everyone!

Hope you are enjoying your week so far! It's been a super busy week for me both in school and over here in the blogging world! If you haven't heard already, I was selected as a Celebrate the Occasion design team member! This challenge blog has amazing challenges for all the major occasions - and cards are definitely needed!! The design team has so much talent, so you will not be disappointed!!

Remember, there's a giveaway going on here that you don't want to miss!

Now this past Monday was my third year anniversary! My boyfriend was so sweet - he knew that I had a challenging week ahead of me with a business presentation and an accounting report due, so he suggested that we celebrate our anniversary next week. He really knows how to read my mind, and he did relieve a bit of the stress that I was feeling! It's been three years that we've been together, but it feels like just yesterday that we met. I've known him for years now, and I definitely can't imagine the rest of the coming years without him! I love you! So enough with the sap! Here's the card that I made for my boyfriend for our anniversary, and for the My Pink Stamper Design Team Call Challenge.

For the challenge, you must include the colours:
--> Orange
--> Turquoise
--> Green
--> Brown
--> Optional: Any colour of your choice

With those colours in mind, I used my favourite cartridge Create a Critter to create this card. I like to call my boyfriend a caterpillar - and we have a song to go along with it! Haha:

The caterpillars just came out darling, didn't they?! :) I added eyelashes for the girl! This is a 5x5 square card base. I used My Pink Stamper's More Punnylicious stamp set to stamp 'love.' The full sentiment reads 'puppy love' so I taped over the 'puppy,' inked it up, then removed the tape to get just what I needed! I created the swing out of scraps, doodled on the seat to make it look like wood, added brads and twine, and voila!

Here's a close-up of the caterpillars:

Trail of Treasures:
  • Caterpillars and tree cut from Create a Critter cartridge
  • Grass cut from Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge
  • Sentiment from My Pink Stamper More Punnylicious
  • White gelly roll pen
  • Heart corner punch
  • Black fine tip pen
  • Specialty twine
  • Mini brads
  • Ribbon
  • Floss
If you'd like to participate in this Design Team Call Challenge, you can do so here. Remember, the deadline is this Wednesday!! Good luck!

Until next time's treasures,

Fluttering by with a My Pink Stamper colour challenge

Hi everyone!!

What a great way to start off the weekend - our boys won the game tonight and are up 3-2 in the series! Cannot wait for Monday's game - I'll definitely be heading downtown for that game! Go Canucks Go!!! I had to create a card for a friend's birthday and decided to participate in Robyn (My Pink Stamper)'s colour challenge - use orange, torquoise, and green. I wasn't sure of the colour combo at first but I just love how the card came out! The shades of the colours all blended together really nicely - thank you Miss Robyn! I decided on the patterned paper to use first and once I found this in my stash, I knew it was the one. It is turquoise/teal with hints of orange and green - perfecto!

This is a standard A-2 sized card. I cut out the base layer twice so that I could create a 'fluttering' effect with pop dots.

Materials Used:
  • Butterfly cut from Once Upon a Princess cartridge
  • Sentiment from Pink By Design's Enjoy the Journey Stamp Set
  • Patterned paper from local scrapbook store
  • Creative Memories' Corner Rounder
  • Teal paper from Stampin' Up
  • White Sukura Gelly Roll Pen
  • Small Heart Punch
  • Diamond Stickles
  • Rhinestones
Hope you find joy everyday! Enjoy your weekend everyone and I'm hoping to get another project up this weekend, but we shall see!

Until next time's treasures,
