My Hunny Bunny

Hello everyone!

It has been a while since I posted anything, but let me assure you that I've been longing to get crafting! In between homework, studying, working, mom duties (my mother is away on a trip), and getting over a bad case of the flu, crafting seems near to impossible. Today however, I decided that I really needed to rest, and card-making is good rest :) I really wanted to participate in the Peachy Keen Sketch Challenge 48 (sketch provided below) and Emma's Throwback Thursday Challenge.

For Emma's Challenge she asked to use an older cartridge and the colour GREEN. Scrapbookaholic By Abby's Challenge is to create anything Spring, so this card will be entered over there too! :) In addition, the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog's Challenge #53 is to create a project using any spring time theme, so this project will be there as well!

So here it goes! I made this card for my boyfriend that I'll probably give to him over Easter :) I've been dying to use the Cricut Lite Cartridge, Bloom for the fence. I got it basically because of the fence! I haven't used it till now cuz I knew it would be perfect for this card!

With the fence closed, this is what the card looks like.

And here is my hunny bunny!

Peachy Keen Let's Face It Friday Challenge - Sew Super Cute

Hi Everyone!

I hope that everyone's weekend is off to a good start! Mine has been pretty busy so far but great, needless to say!

I had to make a card for my niece and nephew's upcoming birthdays, and the challenge for Peachy Keens was to use faux or real stitching. This was easy for me since I often do incorporate faux stitching into my cards. However, I thought that I would test out my new sew easy tool. I'm not really too sure how my thoughts are on it yet since I didn't really do what I wanted it to do..I wasn't too good at keeping my piercing line straight. :( Here's my card though! I like how it turned out "sew super cute!"

My little niece is turning one and my nephew will be turning two. Their birthdays are two weeks apart, so their mom is combining the two parties, and the theme is..you guessed it...Mickey and Minnie Mouse! :)

My card is 5 x 7 and a majority of the cuts are from the Baby Steps Cartridge, which is exclusive to JoAnns. Let me tell you..I LOVE this cartridge! Once it was released I knew I had to have it! Although I don't have kids yet, the cuts were too cute to pass up! I have so many young cousins, nieces and nephews, that it is definitely worth it! And..of course my Peachy Keen Stamps added so much more character to the little darlings! I used the coordinating sets -- PK-642 Boy Mates Assortment && PK-640 Princess Face Assortment. These two sets are a definite must have!

See you back here for next time's treasure hunt!

Sending Some Flair to a Fashionista

Hello everyone!

I am back with a card I made last week for Sarah (Ms. Pink Cricut!). I sent the package to her last week and didn't expect her to get it until sometime next week! She totally deserves something special! So as we all know, Sarah loves pink, shoes, and crafting! So I made a card, with a gift on the front.

It opens up with a mini pink brad and looks like this. Voila!

The present is cut from the Sweethearts Cartridge at 3".
Polka dot paper from Recollections Elegance paper pack.
Glittered silver paper from DCWV All Dressed Up stack.
I also used my irock to bling it up and attached some pink tissue paper to the gift :)

For the card, I used the February Stamp of the Month, "Designer Shoes."

I heat embossed two boots for the pair inside the gift box, used one of the tags and taped over the "sale" so it wouldn't get inked up, a different heel to stamp on the background strip, and on the inside of the card I stamped:

I'm so thrilled that she received it! :)

I've got a mid-term exam tomorrow so I won't be back until this weekend -- got a few birthday cards to make and a card for a special boy whom I found out about through Sarah's March Newsletter:
"Max Low is a 12 year old from Neola, Iowa. He has been battling cancer for half of his life. His doctors recently told his parents to enjoy the time they have left with him. His wish is to get 1 million cards. He has currently gotten about 23,000. If you would like to help Max get his wish, please send a get well card to the following address: Mighty Max Low, C/O Greg and Bambi Low, PO Box 111, Neola, IA 51559"
Let's help this special boy's wish come true!
Until next time's treasures,

New Recollections Goodies && A New Challenge

Hi everyone!

A few weeks back I went to my local Michael's and discovered new Recollections patterned packs. I LOVE Recollections paper so I was super thrilled about these! I picked up the Elegance Stack (50 sheets) & the Glittered stack (10 sheets).

They also had coloured animal print stacks (multi-coloured zebra and cheetah print) and primary and pastel coloured patterns - simple polka dots and plaid print. I'll definitely be back for those ones soon! Just wanted to do a quick share for you all about the new treasures I found, cuz I'm definitely loving these stacks! ;)

ALSO, there is a new blog which will be hosting birthday card challenges! Isn't that wonderful? We all need a stash of birthday cards to run to just in case a birthday pops up right? Kristie is currently looking for a design team, and you can find more info here: http://birthdaysundaes.blogspot.com/. Make sure to stop by her blog & give her some love!

Happy trails to you && good luck!

Until next time's treasures,
