Sweet Treats for a Sweet Friend

Hello Everyone!

I hope that you all enjoyed your weekend! I know that I sure had an exhausting one, but it was nonetheless fabulous :) We did quite the bit of snow here in Vancouver yesterday, but of course the rain has washed away the majority of it all by now. Hopefully the snow/ice will melt away for you all soon, wherever that may be!

So I just wanted to do a quick post for you all today. My friend celebrated her 21st birthday yesterday night, and in her culture, 21 is a huge milestone. We all had tons of fun dancing the night away at a latino restaurant. This friend of mine LOVES sweets, and she is just the sweetest thing ever. Coincidence? I think not. :) I made this card for her back in December, during my break, and she finally received it, so here it is!

 Recipe:
  •  Wild Card Cart for cake stand and cover
  • Sweet Treats Cartridge for cupcakes
  • Pink By Design Love Always
  • DCWV Shimmer Stack
  • White Gelly Roll Pen
  • Cinnamon Stickles
  • Embellishments
  • Glue Dots
  • Acetate
This is a 5 x 5 card. I cut two pieces of 'glass' out of acetate and used tons of glue dots to adhere the cupcakes to the acetate, and the acetate to my base. I didn't want to hold my two pieces of 'glass' together with glue dots so I decided to use glue...bad idea!! It would be much better to pull out the sewing machine and stitch the two together! Inside the card, I used the Pink By Design Love Always stamp set to stamp "to a sweet friend."

We all know sweet people in our lives. Don't forget to acknowledge them for it! I hope this inspires you to do something sweet for a sweet someone! ;)

My Custom Cozy

Good morning everyone!

I just went back to school this week after a much needed "reading week," which was five days off from school. I wanted to do some crafting over that period but I had school work and other priorities. :( I was hoping to participate in a few of the challenges last week, but maybe at the end of this week I can make some time to craft.

So today the mailman finally brought me my custom cozy! I got in touch with Kathy from http://kathyscozies.blogspot.com/ back in January to custom design my very own cozy for my Expression. My Expression was definitely in need of a pretty cozy! For my craft room in the future, I want it to be black, white, and raspberry coloured so those were the colours I chose for my cozy! Isn't it just beautiful?

Kathy makes beautiful covers for Cricut Expressions, the baby bugs, gypsys, Imagines, iPads, you name it, and she can make it for you! It was super easy to get in touch with her, and she's super open to new ideas and suggestions to customize a cozy that is just right for YOU! So if you want a cover to keep your items nice and cozy, or to keep the dust bunnies out, contact Kathy at bckpiano@yahoo.com

Until next time's treasures!

Cupid's Treasures

Hi Everyone!

Thanks everyone for all the sweet comments! I really love what I do, but what I love more is the reaction from those who receive my creations, and the feedback from all of you! Hopefully I'll be able to accomplish my mission: to inspire others and to help all of you live with compassion. I'm working on it! ;)

So I really hope that everyone enjoyed their Valentine's Day this past Monday! My cupid is very creative so I thought that I'd share with you what he did for me, and maybe for next year, you will all have some ideas as to what to do for your special someone! :)

So my sweetheart played cupid himself. He organized an amazing scavenger hunt for me and directed me to my gifts..the biggest one being a hair curler which I definitely needed. My old one keeps turning on and off while I'm using it, so it's super frustrating! This new one doesn't damage your hair! Gotta love that! :)

Cupid started it off by directing me towards my love drugs.

It reads: Tracey Ma      Your Doctor Cupid
RX#: Love You So Much

Parcels of Love

So today is Guest Designer Day over at pinkcricut.com! Please do make sure to view the original post on Sarah's blog! : ) I'm super thrilled to share a project with you, showcasing Sarah's phenomenal line of Pink By Design Stamps! Sarah was the one who gave me the final push to start a blog, so welcome everyone!

The project for you today was for my Valentine. I decided to wrap his gifts, and decorate the packaging to coordinate with the card that I had made him -- I made the card back in December during my break between semesters since I knew that during the school semester I would, unfortunately, not have the time to do much crafting. :( The card is what I submitted for Sarah's Pink By Design Team Call. The gift wrapping is pretty simple and I had to keep it simple cuz it was a super hectic week for me at school!

Let's begin! Sarah's stamps are extremely versatile - I used them for a card and tags for today's post but of course they can be used for a number of different projects.

For my first project, a gift bag:

Card-Making Must Haves && a Sneak Peak

Hi Everyone!

I had a number of viewers mention that the blog posts were  a bit difficult to read. I'm terribly sorry but if I expand the text box further, the layout will look odd. So please bare with me until the blog makeover!

So like I promised, I'm back with a list of essential materials for card-marking. This list is a bit extensive and of course, many of the supplies used for scrapbooking are necessary for card-making. So let's begin:

Welcome & Tools Necessary for Scrapbooking Beginners

Welcome everyone!

So I have been scrapbooking for the last three years now and cardmaking for the last year. So you may ask, "Why did you start a blog?" Well, I have been wanting to start a blog for some time now to share with everyone my creations, the treasures that I discover for crafting and in life, and just everyday words of wisdom. Most of the bloggers that I have come across so far are American so I wanted to share some Canadian love since we are neighbours :) Well, the actual push for me to get movin' on this blog was through the help of Sarah (Pink Cricut) over at www.pinkcricut.com. She had openings for her design team so I entered in a Valentine's Day card that I had made for my sweetheart. I was then asked to be a guest designer! :) I will have product reviews for you all later about her stamp-sets (the best ones yet!!) as well as others that are available in the market. I hope that through these posts you will be inspired to create and live with a compassion for others.

My blog will be undergoing changes soon so bear with me until then! Sorry about this!
